Player Patches - Instructions

Player Patches are easy to apply:

  1. Set iron to hot, cotton setting, about 400º, let it heat up properly for about 5 minutes. No water or steam is necessary, a dry iron is best.
  2. Iron the area of the garment where the patch will be placed; the patch will adhere better to a clean, flat material.
  3. Place the patch, embroidery side up, and cover with thin cloth or light towel.
  4. Iron slowly, applying even firm pressure and using circular motion for 30 seconds.
  5. Turn garment over (or inside out) and iron the back of the patch for 20 seconds to reinforce the adhesion.
  6. Let it cool for a minute or so. Test the patch edges – if they can be lifted, repeat step 4 and 5.

When washing, turn the garment inside out and wash on a cold gentle cycle. After a few washes, check that the edges of the patch are still in place. If they have lifted, repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 above. Do not put in the dryer.

The patches will apply to most fabrics that can withstand the heat of a hot iron. Do NOT use on unironable fabrics such as nylons, vinyls, leathers, and most 'convention' or reusable bags. These materials may be damaged or cause damage to your iron.

Always read and follow your iron’s safety instructions. The iron may be hot and can cause permanent damage to skin, clothing, or other items. Please be careful!
